Defendant acquitted following a submission of no case to answer made by Katie Walden

The defendant faced two counts of possession with intent to supply class A substances. His co-defendant had entered guilty pleas at an early stage of the proceedings.

The Judge ruled that the evidence of the defendant being in control of the drugs found in his car fell short of the standard required, and, as a result, no jury properly directed could convict.
