Vanessa Thomson and Phil Barnes appointed Kings Council

Nine Chambers is delighted to congratulate Vanessa Thomson and Phil Barnes, who were today appointed King’s Counsel at the ceremony held in Westminster Hall, Palace of Westminster.

Vanessa and Phil joined their fellow newly appointed Silks before the Lord Chancellor, taking their oaths and receiving their Letters Patent of Appointment – a moment that marks both the recognition of outstanding ability and the beginning of a new chapter in their careers at the Bar.

Their appointments are a reflection of the exceptional standard of advocacy and dedication they have brought to their practice, and to the work of these Chambers. We are immensely proud of them both.
