Emma Greenhalgh awarded red bag by Jo Delahunty KC

Nine Chambers is delighted to share that Emma Greenhalgh, of our Family team, has been awarded a red bag.

Emma received her red bag from Jo Delahunty KC who over the summer led her in a two week complex sexual abuse trial in which they were instructed by a local authority.

A red bag is an award given to a junior Barrister by a Silk as a mark of high distinction, given in rare circumstances where a Silk wishes to thank them and acknowledge them for an outstanding contribution and support during a complex or important case.

Emma is delighted to receive this prestigious and traditional recognition. She has commented that it was a privilege to receive instructions in these proceedings and to have had the opportunity to be led by one of the country’s leading family Silks.
