Overview

Ian practises exclusively on behalf of Claimants in the field of personal injury and associated inquests. He has acted on behalf of Claimants in Courts up to the Supreme Court, in respect of injuries and fatalities arising out of road traffic accidents, accidents at work and other negligent acts.

Ian is sought after for his expertise in cases of life-changing injuries including catastrophic brain injuries, psychiatric injuries, the most serious orthopaedic and internal injuries and amputation. He has particular expertise in road traffic accident cases involving injuries to children and those involving liability issues.

He is instructed by solicitors nationally and is consistently highly ranked in the leading legal directories.

ROL v LEE – A 14 year old boy was knocked down by car after running from pavement sustaining moderate TBI. The cases was settled at a JSM for £1.5 million net of contributory negligence.

EMM v COVEA – A young woman was knocked down by car suffering moderate brain injury. The case was settled at JSM for £1 million net of contributory negligence.

SUW v TEL – A 63 year old was knocked down by car suffering a severe brain injury. The case settled at JSM for £2.7 million net of contributory negligence.

HTT v MBM – A Claimant suffered severe spinal injuries having been involved in workplace accident. The case settled at JSM for £4.5 million.

LAP v DKH – A woman was knocked down by car suffering moderate brain/psychiatric injury. The case settled at JSM for £2 million net of contributory negligence.

MTP v LTD – The Claimant sustained moderate brain injury as passenger in car accident. The case settled for £1.35 million net of contributory negligence.

DAM v AMI – A motorcyclist sustained severe orthopaedic injuries and the case settled at JSM for £1.3 million.

RHT v AVIVA – A 15 year old motorcycle passenger with severe pre-accident psychiatric history suffered mild brain/psychiatric injury following an RTA. The case settled at JSM for £850,000 net of contributory negligence.
