Chris’s clerking career started in Manchester in 1994 and then took him to Newcastle-upon-Tyne as a Junior Clerk. He returned to the North West and joined Chambers in 2001. His wealth of experience over 30 years and stellar reputation with lay and professional clients led to his current role of Senior Criminal Clerk, with overall responsibility for the management of the Criminal Team and Clerks.
Chris is a prominent and senior figure on various Committees in Chambers. He is committed to supporting the next generations of Barristers and is a key figure during mini-pupillages and pupillage events. Chris also delivers talks for prospective pupils and Access Award winners on key skills, practice management and commercial awareness.
Chris has four children and spends what little spare time he has supporting Wigan Athletic FC and attending classic car shows, particularly ones involving American cars. Chris is also a keen golfer and organises the Chambers golf day in aid of our charitable fund, Nine Lives.
