Family Team Shows Support for Vulnerable Children at Charity Ball
10th March 2026

Members of the family team showed support for vulnerable children by attending a local charity black-tie ball in aid of Child Concern.

The event was attended by, Emma Greenhalgh, Lucky Kaur, Caroline Leggeat, Sam Buckley, Joanne Oakes, Natalie Oakes and supported by the clerks Austin Brock-Clements , Jake Speed and Ritchie Keightley.

The event brought together legal professionals and guardians for an evening of fundraising and awareness of children and families facing hardship. Guests enjoyed a formal dinner, live entertainment and a charity auction, all aimed at raising vital funds for the organisation’s work.

Natalie Oakes said it was important for members of the legal profession to support initiatives that protect and support children. Working closely with families through their legal practice, this highlighted how charities such as Child Concern play a crucial role in providing guidance, resources and support to those in need. The funds raised are used to improve legal practices regarding children by providing training and a multi-disciplinary forum for professionals like solicitors and social workers.

Organisers thanked attendees for their generosity and community spirit, noting that the funds raised during the evening will help sustain programmes focused on  providing training on safeguarding children and strengthening families.

The event was both a celebration and a reminder of the collective responsibility to ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow up safe and supported.
