James Abernethy Re-Appointed to the Attorney General’s Regional B Panel

We are delighted to announce that James Abernethy has been appointed to the Regional B Panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown, representing a significant step forward in his public law career.

James was called to the Bar in 2015 and joined Nine St John Street Chambers shortly thereafter. He has since developed a well-regarded practice in public, regulatory, and civil law. His work frequently includes complex judicial reviews, inquests, and cases involving sensitive issues of government and administrative decision-making.

The Regional B Panel comprises experienced junior barristers selected to advise and represent government departments in complex and high-profile litigation. James’s appointment is a clear recognition of his legal expertise, professionalism, and growing reputation in government work.
