Nine Chambers Criminal Team is looking to recruit and invites applications from barristers of all levels.

Our Criminal Group consists of 23 barristers and is both established and expanding. Over the last ten years it has produced three Silks, six Circuit Judges and a District Judge. We are looking for people who can take on the cases that those who have been appointed were regularly instructed in as well as those junior barristers that have the talent, intellect and compassion to undertake such work and to follow the career paths of those who have recently moved on from our team within the next 5 to 10 years.

Members benefit from strong, dedicated clerking and administrative support, a supportive and collegiate team, frequent in-house training, and someone always on hand to answer a query.

We have also moved from 9 St John Street to modern premises in a prime Manchester city centre location, with a gym and IT facilities to support remote as well as on-site working. We support small local charities through our Nine Lives Community Fund and run an Access Scheme, which has produced our most recent pupil.

Chambers continues to invest in its future, with Maria Burcham joining as our new CEO.
