Nine Chambers Family Team hosts specialist training on domestic abuse in family proceedings

The Family Team at Nine Chambers recently hosted and delivered specialist training on domestic abuse in family proceedings, covering both public and private law, with an introduction to Domestic Abuse Protection Orders.

The seminar was delivered by Joanne Barnett, Emma Greenhalgh and Kate Pye-Jones, and explored a range of key issues including evidence gathering, police disclosure, special measures, the need for findings of fact hearings and PD12J, dual reporting, and proposed changes to private law proceedings.

Nine Chambers was invited by Stephensons to deliver the training to Guardians practising across Greater Manchester, and was pleased to contribute to continued professional development in this important area of family law.
