“Stefan Brochwicz-Lewinski was instructed to act for Littlewoods plc in the Court of Appeal in multi-million pound equal pay pension litigation. The appeal concerned questions of remedy and causation under both European and domestic equal pay law. Giving the lead judgment in a unanimous decision, Elias LJ found for the company, upholding the decisions of the courts below. [Update: the case is now reported as Copple & others v Littlewoods plc [2012] IRLR 121]”
