Tom Gilbart succeeds in major case for the General Medical Council

Tom Gilbart has represented the GMC in a case which lasted several months; involved allegations of dishonesty against a leading medical academic and attracted national press attention.

The case involved many weeks’ worth of evidence from a host of senior witnesses including numerous knights of the realm and a Nobel prize winner.

The tribunal concluded that the doctor had behaved dishonestly and suspended him from medical work.
