Zimran Samuel (9 St John Street Chambers) and Michelle Butler (Matrix Chambers) to lead international review of blasphemy laws across the Commonwealth.

Zimran Samuel will be leading a review on the existence and implementation of blasphemy laws across the Commonwealth. The project, which has been organised by the Bar Human Rights Committee (BHRC) in partnership with the Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA), will analyse the implementation of blasphemy laws and any correlative impact on freedom of expression and other international human rights norms. Zimran will be supervising the review alongside Michelle Butler of Matrix Chambers.
