Overview
Tobias has developed a busy criminal practice consisting of a variety of offences across the criminal calendar including violent, dishonesty and motor offences as well as sexual misconduct in a regulatory setting. He has been recognised for his comprehensive legal knowledge and analytical approach to case preparation.
Prior to the Bar, Tobias worked as a residential childcare worker for six years.

Notable Cases
R v A [2023]
Negotiated a plea to one count of theft in a trial concerning £20,000 worth of money laundering. The defendant was able to avoid immediate imprisonment and received a stand-alone suspended sentence with no requirements.
R v W [2023]
Undertook a Newton hearing on PWITS Class A, managing to secure a “lesser role” for his client and achieving a suspended sentence.
R v O [2023]
A domestic ABH trial in the magistrates, the bench made a finding of excessive self-defence. This ensured the case was able to stay within the sentencing powers of the lower court.
R v O [2023]
Prosecuted an appeal from the youth court where the defendant stabbed a kebab shop worker and sought to blame his identical twin. Then assisted the Court in sentencing concerning their powers to deal with a defendant who had achieved adulthood between the original conviction and conviction on appeal.
