Nine Chambers Hosts Northern Circuit Bar Placement Day

We were pleased to welcome students and undergraduates into Chambers last week as part of the Northern Circuit’s Bar Placement Scheme.

After spending several days shadowing barristers from across the Circuit, the students rounded off their week with an in-person advocacy training session held at Nine Chambers. The day began with a relaxed lunch where they had the chance to meet their trainers, as well as several Circuit Judges and practising barristers.

Jamie Hamilton KC gave a warm welcome and introduced the trainers, who each shared their personal stories about the journey to the Bar. The training session that followed gave students the chance to build confidence, sharpen their advocacy skills, and ask plenty of questions. Everyone left with a certificate, and hopefully, a bit of inspiration too.
