Nine Chambers’ Pupil Delivers Guest Lecture on Advocacy at Cardiff Metropolitan University

Nine Chambers is pleased to share that Emily Freeman, one of our current pupils, delivered a guest lecture at Cardiff Metropolitan University for students undertaking the Applied Advocacy Skills unit.

Emily’s session introduced students-many of whom are new to advocacy-to the basics of effective courtroom practice. She covered:

• Key principles of courtroom advocacy

• How to structure and present submissions

• Approaches to mooting

• Techniques for managing judicial intervention

The session offered students a practical starting point as they begin developing their advocacy skills.

Emily delivered this session alongside the first half of her pupillage, and we are pleased to see her contributing to legal education as she progresses through her training.
