Overview

Pierce Power has practised at the criminal bar for over 34 years. He both regularly defends and prosecutes. Pierce is a Grade 3 prosecutor and is on the prosecution Rasso list.

Over the years Pierce has defended in the most serious criminal cases from murder through to large scale drug conspiracies, prison mutiny and serious sexual violence.

For more the bulk of his career Pierce practised on the South Coast at Westgate Chambers before moving to Nine Chambers in for family reasons.

Pierce is well regarded criminal advocate who is both hard working, conscientious and easy to deal with.

Pierce accepts instructions on legal aid rates where those are available, details of which can be found here. For other work, Pierce usually charges a brief fee plus refresher fees for court hearings, with advisory, conference and other preparation work charged at an hourly rate. Pierce aims to return paperwork within 14 working days, however her professional commitments, complexity and volume of documentation can affect these approximate timescales.
