Overview

Following the successful completion of his pupillage under the supervision of David Gilchrist and Robert Darbyshire, Harrison joined the Business and Property Group in March 2024. He accepts instructions across the broad range of commercial and property work that the Group undertakes and already has experience of the following areas:

Harrison is a member of the Attorney General’s Junior Junior Scheme. He was recently led by Joanna Vicary in the First Tier Tax Tribunal in the case of WDL v HMRC, a VAT claim involving a claim for tax in excess of – a matter valued in excess of £8,000,000.

Before being called to the Bar and returning to Manchester, Harrison worked in London as a paralegal at Signature Litigation LLP, a specialist law firm handling major and complex commercial arbitration and litigation in the High Court.

Harrison’s clerks will provide no obligation quotations for all legal services that he provides. It is most common for Harrison to undertake Court and Tribunal work for a brief fee plus refresher days, although fixed fees are available. For paperwork, Harrison most commonly charges at an hourly rate, although fixed fees are available. Christopher will typically return paperwork within 10-14 days, however professional commitments, complexity and volume of documentation can affect these approximate timescales.
