Overview
Harrison accepts instructions across the broad range of commercial and chancery work undertaken within Chambers’ Business and Property Group.
He has appeared in multi-track trials and in the Business and Property Courts as well as the Chancery Division of the High Court.
Harrison has a burgeoning paper practice providing advice on matters within the Business and Property Group’s areas of expertise. He is also instructed in respect of alternative dispute resolution including mediation.
Harrison is also a member of the Court of Protection Team and accepts instructions in relation to Property and Affairs.
His areas of practice include:
- Private client, trusts and probate, including contentious probate, Inheritance Act claims, executor and beneficiary disputes, estate accounts, caveats, testamentary documents, lasting powers of attorney, and advice for protected parties.

- Real property and TOLATA, including boundary disputes, trespass, nuisance, easements, covenants, Land Registry applications, and orders for sale.
- Residential landlord and tenant, including possession claims, disrepair, and fitness for human habitation.
- Commercial property, including lease renewals, forfeiture, lease construction, licensed premises, and Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 proceedings.
- Commercial disputes, including breach of contract, referral agreements, professional negligence, civil fraud, and enforcement of adjudication decisions.
- Company and partnership disputes, including directors’ duties, fiduciary duties, unfair prejudice petitions, and shareholder and partnership disputes.
- Insolvency, including winding-up petitions, bankruptcy petitions, statutory demands, and injunctions to restrain winding-up petitions.
- Tax and revenue disputes, including PAYE, employment income tax, VAT disputes, and Missing Trader Intra-Community fraud.
- Consumer finance and financial mis-selling, including undisclosed commission claims.
- Public, regulatory and statutory appeals, including civil penalty appeals under the Immigration Act 2014 and applications relating to utility warrants of entry.
Harrison is a participant in the Manchester Chancery Litigants-in-Person Scheme (M-CLIPS) providing support to unrepresented parties attending hearings in the Business and Property Courts.
Before being called to the Bar and returning to Manchester, Harrison worked in London as a paralegal at Signature Litigation LLP, a specialist law firm handling major and complex commercial arbitration and litigation in the High Court.
Harrison is a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn and a member of the Chancery Bar Association.

- Harrison was led by Joanna Vicary in the First-tier Tax Tribunal in WDL v HMRC [2024] UKFTT 514 (TC), an appeal against HMRC’s decision to deny a right to deduct input tax valued at more than £8,000,000.
